Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American producer and actress best recognized for her roles played on Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actress for theater and film, and she is also producer. Her acting career started in the theater. Then she appeared on several television shows in independent films, mainstream and film. She gained acclaim as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received an acclaim from critics, but also won several nods and awards. One of them was the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. She made her professional acting debut when she played Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. She's performed on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In her film career she is most famous for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. In addition, she's famous for her character on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
